Open Mic, Community Art and Retreats put our mission into practice: helping people find their voice, contribute to Bermuda’s cultural life and build relationships through shared experience.
A first poem, a new song, a room that listens. Live music and storytelling bring emerging and established voices together, with the audience part of the experience.
Explore Open MicArtists and neighbours turn shared walls into stories of Bermuda’s people, history and living culture. Create something the whole community can encounter.
Explore Community ArtIsland weekends bring people across ages and backgrounds together through workshops, music, shared meals and fireside stories. Make time to create, listen and reconnect.
Explore the RetreatThe arts can open a conversation that might not happen anywhere else.
A new performer can share a stage with an established artist. Young people can help shape a public mural. People who might not otherwise meet can spend a weekend creating and learning together. Participation is at the heart of each programme.
All three programmes continue despite limited funding. Support helps cover the artists, musicians, materials, facilitation and coordination behind each experience, as well as access for people who need assistance.
Our board-approved Protection of Vulnerable Persons Policy sets expectations for screening, annual safeguarding training, supervision and reporting concerns wherever our work involves vulnerable participants. Read about participant care and the full policy.
Our history also includes dedicated T.W.I.G.S. youth and Corrections programmes. Relaunching them is a future priority when funding and capacity are secured.
