Their imaginative covers, remixes and mashups have been exceptionally well-received locally and internationally. Comprised of Bermudian drum legend, Scarlet Thomas; music director Derek Gladwin Simmons on bass, Thomas North on guitar, Keem Watson showing off his keyboarad mastery and a beautiful combination of vocals by Amora Rose’, Rowdy Piper and Haz the Human, they’ll crank up the energy and bring the vibes as Bermuda’s best Cross-Genre stars!

This Friday Roots reggae band “Conscious Bermuda”, will be taking the stage for the continuation of The Chewstick Foundation’s Live Fridays series.

Live Fridays is a program that helps to break down barriers and support emerging talent that helps to revitalize arts and culture and tourism. Conscious are no strangers to Bermuda’s entertainment scene as they are a band that came together as the best of Bermuda’s reggae bands; they definitely have a very chilled out energy that will make for a very interesting night.

The whole band is eager to grace the Chewstick stage and bring their talent and inventive, soothing vibes to Bermuda in a different way. This is a tremendous opportunity to experience each of these artists performing live and unplugged at the Chewstick Neo-Griot Lounge & Cafe. It is guaranteed to be a relaxing and uplifting event. This Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th experienced local band Jahstice Reggae Band will be featured at The Chewstick Neo-Griot Lounge. The Jahstice Reggae Band earned its reputation as ‘Bermuda’s premier reggae band’ after many years of providing entertainment to Bermudians and tourists alike throughout the Island. Originally called “Youth Creation” the band has evolved since its 1984 beginning to include band leader Andrew “Packy” Packwood, one of the founding members, Darrell Symonds, Aswad and Sean Caisey alongside an eclectic mix of other artists throught its history.

This weekend their smooth reggae flair Friday, November 14th will be the chance to experience a great band that has been laying low for a number of years, honing their talent and becoming masters in their respective fields. Now they are ready to reconnect with their loyal fans as well as to reach a new generation of music lovers. Attendees will appreciate some of Bermuda’s local legends in a new light, as Jahstice have been stalwarts of the Bermuda music-scene and have served as inspiration for a number of young artists over the years.
