✨ Yesterday’s Gombey Festival was nothing short of magical! We're filled with gratitude for the opportunity to add to the beauty of the event by expanding the "Gombeys in the Gardens" mural with the vibrant addition of the @phoenixgombeys (still in progress) 🖌️🌞 It was incredible to see so many people gathered, sharing in the energy and spirit that makes our island’s culture so unique.

Special thanks go @bermudaculture and to those who participated in painting or who left their contact info to join future projects—we couldn’t do it without you! The Chewstick Community Art Program is all about unity, art, and community, and this mural is a reflection of just that.

Join us for an incredible artistic experience! Chewstick is teaming up with the Department of Culture to create a stunning mural of the Phoenix Gombey Troupe as part of our ongoing Gombeys in The Gardens mural. The newest installation will be brought to life during the 2024 Gombey Festival Showcase at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday, October 26, 2024!
Everyone is welcome to paint – grab a friend and JOIN US on the western side of the Jack King Building during the Gombey Festival on Saturday, October 26th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM!
This is your chance to be part of a creative movement through Chewstick’s Community Art Program (CCAP), dedicated to inspiring, enlightening, and healing our community. Together, we aim to honor the powerful artistry of every Gombey troupe on the island, celebrating their cultural impact and legacy.
The Phoenix Gombey Troupe mural will continue to evolve until it’s complete, and we need YOU to help us make it happen! Want to get involved? Email info@chewstick.org or call 292-2439 to be part of the magic!

What an incredible experience it was to be part of

What an incredible experience it was to be part of building the float for the Bermuda Heritage Day Parade on behalf of the journey was filled with hard work, creativity, and so many valuable lessons learned along the way.

We were reminded of how strong our community truly is when we come together and inspired to continue to rebuild to to serve our mission to bring people together, to create positive vibes in lives and community; using storytelling, creative expression and collaboration, helping to grow a deeper understanding and appreciation of themselves, each other, and the world.

A huge thank you to all the contractors, volunteers, and everyone who played a role in making not only the float but the entire parade and festivities such a success.

We are filled with gratitude and hope for the future!
