Gombey Festival Mural Painting Honouring Warwick Gombeys
Chewstick is collaborating with the Department of Culture to depict a mural of Warwick Gombeys, part of a series of Gombey murals we have painted since 2018. The newest mural will be painted during the 2022 Gombey Festival, taking place at Botanical Gardens on Saturday October 8, 2022!
Anyone can paint, so bring a friend and JOIN US during the Gombey Festival in BOTANICAL GARDENS on Saturday October 8th between 4:30 and 8:00 PM!
The Chewstick Community Art Program (CCAP) exists to further our overall Chewstick Foundation mission and to inspire, enlighten and heal the community. Our goal in the Gombey Festival collaboration is to honour and highlight every Gombey troupe on the island, for the immense cultural contributions they make through their art and artistry.
The Warwick Gombeys mural project will be ongoing until the mural is complete. Email info@chewstick.org or call 292-2439 to get involved!
