Griot Session: Jorge Suarez

On Saturday, December 14th at 10pm, Jorge Suarez will sing a fond farewell to Bermuda, The Chewstick Foundation and friends he’s made while on the island. He will be accompanied by a mix of musicians including the D.I.A. band, Calvin Worrell and a few special surprise guests. He’ll share his hip hop inspired folk music which is itself a medley born of his Cuban-Mexican heritage and hunger for knowledge. Jorge’s show will take the audience on a musical journey, sharing the stories of his family, his friends and the valuable lessons he’s learned along the way.

An easy going guy with a distinctive style, Jorge will unveil original musings on the guitar as well as a few well known covers for the audience to sing along. With opening act Amora Rose his presentation will be an example of how an open mind and giving spirit can bring all facets of our community together.

Don’t miss the chance to experience this amazing talent!
