North of Eden Evening of Dreams and Music
Saturday, November 5th at 8pm, we will host an evening of dream exploration and musical talent presented by Marc Bregman and Christa Lancaster from the North of Eden Archetypal Dreamwork Organization in Vermont (NOE). Marc at Christa will share the work they do with dreams, in a lively evening of music and drama. They will be joined by Bob Murray and Grace Cheptu, who will tell their personal stories by sharing music inspired by their unique journeys into their dreams. Dreamers will act out their dreams to show the way they teach us through story, opening us to our creative hearts and souls. It’s all set to kick off at 8pm and it’s free, but donations will be graciously accepted. No doubt this will be an evening that you won’t soon forget as many people believe that dreams are a passport to different planes of consciousness and way through which our ancestors speak to us. NOE encourages poetry, musical expression, essay writing and song to help people tap into their dreams; this journey is healing for the dreamer and for the audience and should no be missed.
The North of Eden team trumpets that, dreams are real, they’re intense, and they come to every one of us. When we listen to our dreams, they show us the deeper story of who we are, and how we get in the way of being our real selves. With the our mission to empower one to enrich all, through the power of storytelling, the opportunity to understand how dreams take us to a deeper story must be explored. NOE is a place where dreams can be analyzed, explored and understood through a number of different ways, and similarly to the Chewstick Foundation they host retreats and workshops to help individuals get closer to themselves and to connect in many different ways. While Chewstick encourages, storytelling, performance, writing, painting and the permutations of “the arts” NOE focuses on dreams. They believe that dreams have an intention—to show us our hidden strengths and creative power, to give these back to us so we can live creatively in the world and speak with our real voice.
The NOE team came to us via an affiliation with Spirit House and are holding weekend workshop on dreams; we are happy to have them as friends and eager for them to get the chance to share their experience and analysis of dreams with us in what is sure to be a memorable evening. Each and every person is welcomed to attend THIS Saturday, November 5th. It’s all going down at The Chewstick Neo-Griot Lounge & Cafe’ on the corner of Court Street and Elliot Street. It starts at 8:00 pm and questions and general discussion will take place throughout the evening and will be streamed live here.
